Deek Magazine - The How-To Incident
March 13, 2004
Zine designed as a 2-sided poster but printed on 36 separate pages requiring assembly by the reader in order to make any sense.

The How-To incident came with (minimal) instruction on how to view it. Along the edges of the pages were a system of half-letters and numbers to be aligned. Because of a technical error in pre-press it was impossible to view an whole, single side of the issue at glance. On the bright side this made the process of reading even more complicated since the reader had to flip pages over to continue with the flow of editorial content. We like to think of this as interactive design.
